Weekend Update: At the homestead

Happy Monday y'all! Today marks two short months until our wedding and I know time is going to absolutely fly by! Today I'm linking up with Biana @ B Loved Boston and Meg @ Life of Meg. Here are a few things I did over this relaxing weekend spent at home.

We FINALLY put together all the elements of our wedding mass. It will be sent up to Cleveland later on this week!

I'm in the market for a new car and decided to go look at the Jeep Renegade. I absolutely loved it and it's definitely the top contender at the moment. I'm one of those weird people that likes a box style when it's comes to my SUV's. 

The flowers from my cousin’s wedding last week were on their last leg but before throwing them out I decided to play around and make a bountineere. I will never deny myself the opportunity to practice floral arrangement. This one turned out pretty cool but, Brian still likes the one I made a few months ago with a spray rose better. Doesn’t that baseball shirt make the flowers pop?! LOL

I busted out the good ole crockpot to make Sunday dinner. I slow cooked chicken breasts with the most yummy glaze by Tastefully Simple. One of my mom’s best friend sells it and they have so many great options. If you’ve never tried any of their products check them out! I paired our chicken with a fresh mozzarella and baby tomato salad. Brian was a big fan of this meal so I’ll have to make it again. 

Last night our sweet and talented photographer, Arastasia,  put up a few pictures from a wedding she shot this weekend and boy are they great! A few of them were already on my shot list for her to try on our wedding day. Seeing these definitely eased my mind knowing that she will do a fantastic job capturing out day. Oh Hey, Friday! [link up]

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! I'm excited to link up again with the ladies over at {the farmer's wife} and September F A R M for Oh Hey, Friday! I'll go ahead and dive into the highlights of my week!

My day was made when I saw this FETCH Mean Girls shirt at Target and I'm kinda regretting not buying it now.

As I was browsing on BlogLovin' I saw this post for Blue Sparkling Wine from the Wedding Chicks website. I looked on the company's website and saw that the wine shop in Covington Square called The Cork carried it! We went on Tuesday and got the last bottle they had. The shop is so cute and we're going to go to one of their wine tasting parties hopefully in the next month. I can't wait to pop this bottle on our wedding day!

I've been admiring the Lilly Pulitzer mouse ears on the Etsy shop called SailBows ever since one of my Disney friends got them. I finally bite the bullet and bought a pair and boy are they cute! Mine are just like this but I got a white bow on them instead of yellow. I'm so excited to wear them on my next trip. She has some many prints...check her out on Instagram to see all the cuteness yourself. I'll probably end up getting another pair in the not so distant future.

I got to share a delicious meal with two of my closest family friends at the Mystic Grill. You can read more about it on this post. I highly recommend you stop by for a bite if you're passing through, the hot pimento cheese dip and fried pickles are absolutely divine.

This is a great Friday because I get to see my mom today and the rest of my family tomorrow for the first wedding our family has had in over 14 years since everyone likes to elope or do a courthouse wedding! What's Ha-Pinning [linkup]

I'm joining in on Jenn and Jessi's new What's Ha-Pinning linkup! I immediately fell in love with Pinterest when my friend Kathleen introduced it to me back in 2011. In the past year I've pinned more than ever because of wedding planning. I've had my fair share of crafting and cooking wins and total fails. Easy DIY Crafts

I made this and it beautiful. I actually had a few family friends pay me to make them ones that coordinated with their kitchen colors. 

This was my first ever Pinterest craft I attempted and it turned out great, still have in in my closet.

Weekending: Welcome August!

Can you believe it's already August?! This year is absolutely flying by! I'm linking up with Biana at B Loved Boston to tell you about my fun and relaxing weekend. 

I didn't have to work Friday (WOOHOO) but I didn't get to sleep in because I had to drive to the airport at 5:30AM to get Brian there in time for his flight to Cleveland. Once I got home I took a little nap and lounged around the house until my wine and painting class with some of the ladies of my alumni group. I’m the VP of Programming for my alumni chapter here in Atlanta and I get to plan fun events like this every month.

I love crafting especially when champagne is involved!

My little Tori now lives in Atlanta and I couldn't be more excited. 

 Tori, Kate, and I are all from the same chapter and went to WVU together. It’s so nice to have some chapter sisters in Atlanta!

Saturday morning was filled with binge watching Parks and Recreation on Netflix, cuddling with my puppies, and celebrating the fact that Patricia from Bravo’s Southern Charm retweeted and favorited my tweet of her house as well as the Real Housewife OG Vicki liking two of my instagram pictures. This girl is in Bravo fan bliss!

Mulligan is the puppy on the top left. We adopted him when we moved to GA last year. We have been fostering the little girl puppy on the bottom right a few weeks for my cousin and on Thursday we officially adopted her!

Sunday I cleaned the house and picked up Brian from the airport. We went to IKEA to get some final wedding reception items we needed so that we can take them to WV this weekend for my mom to take to Cleveland in October and then had dinner at The Varsity.

Own It [JULY]

Today I'm linking up with the wonderful Christina over at The New Mrs. for the Own It link up for the month of July! Here are the things I'm owning up to...

My bestie Erika, my fiance, and I were way too excited last night for the season premiere of Lifetime's Little Women: LA! The three of us haven't missed a single episode and always group text during it. 

I'm slightly obsessed with the fun little signs I made for our "crazy" wedding party pictures. This one is my favorite and I know all my Florida friends will love them!

The first step is admitting you have a problem and I have no problem admitting am addicted to wine and painting classes. I'm going to one I planned tomorrow for my alumni group here in Atlanta and we're going to paint our city's skyline. Here are a couple of the paintings I've done at these classes in the past. 

My cousin Heather's wedding is next weekend and I still haven't found a dress a like for it. Hopefully this weekend I'll have some luck. Regardless I'm so excited to celebrate with her and the rest of our family!
